A week-long, comprehensive overland training course, providing driver training, recovery skills, equipment and logistics courses and the cultures and conservation capstone. With this course, Wilderness First Aid or equivalent, and a HAM license or qualified elective, a student can receive overland certification within 7-days. The course covers Overland Certification modules 1 - 4 and is designed to accommodate students traveling to Colorado or Arizona without a vehicle, or desiring to accomplish the certification in a condensed format.

This course is designed to train individuals and commercial organizations in the skills necessary to guide paying clients in the outdoors, including outside US borders. Our instructors will share their experiences and "lessons learned" while guiding in the Jungles of Central America to the Massai lands of Central Africa. Particular emphasis is placed on expedition planning, setting client expectations, mitigating risk, obtaining permits and developing resources in the host regions.

Basic exercises on a closed dirt course will develop confidence and capability in the new rider, and prepare them for the ADV Moto OT218c course. For riders without their own motorcycle, a small displacement dual-sport can be rented during the course for an additional charge of $110. |

Advanced expedition photography provides instruction on skills, equipment and preparation required to capture high-quality images for use in editorial and commercial photography assignments (or just taking the best pictures possible for your own enjoyment). Advanced equipment selection, testing and field repair are reviewed, along with developing a specification for basic kit required for efficient field use. Comprehensive field exercises will develop the students efficiency and effectiveness with a camera in difficult environments. Advanced expedition videography provided detailed instruction on equipment selection, set-up and service while operating in the field. A series of video exercises will form the foundation for additional critique and skill-building. Unique locations are chosen for the field course to challenge the student as a videographer and story teller. Once field video capture is complete, the training shifts focus to data management and workflow, and finally in-field editing and production. The final practicum results in a 60 second adventure clip, which will be evaluated by the instructor and fellow classmates.
